Acceptable Use & AI Policy

SongSyntax Orchestral 500 is an AI-assisted tool that helps individual users create orchestral prompts for music generators such as Suno, Udio, and similar services. This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions; by using the Service you agree to both documents.

1. Operator

SongSyntax Orchestral 500 is operated by Simon Watson (“we”, “us”, “our”). Questions about this policy may be submitted through the contact form.

2. How the Service Uses AI

The Service uses artificial intelligence to interpret your selections and open-text inputs, to research the historical period you choose, and to produce descriptive prompts for third-party music generators. The Service does not generate audio, images, or video directly.

AI outputs may be imperfect, incomplete, or similar to material produced for other users. Historical detail in the Style block and the Research and Variance Log is offered as creative guidance, not scholarly authority. Review outputs before use in any commercial or public release.

3. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to create, generate, request, or facilitate:

  • unlawful content, material promoting illegal activity, or instructions for illegal acts;
  • hateful, harassing, abusive, threatening, defamatory, or discriminatory content;
  • sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene content;
  • violent, self-harm, or terrorism-related content;
  • unauthorized deepfakes, impersonations, or synthetic media intended to deceive or defraud;
  • malware, exploits, jailbreaks, prompt-injection attacks, or attempts to manipulate the Service or third-party AI systems;
  • content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any person;
  • spam, bulk automated requests, scraping, or systematic data collection;
  • content intended to evade usage limits, security controls, or account restrictions; or
  • any use aimed at discovering, recreating, or supporting a competing prompt generator or similar tool.

4. Individual Use Only

Memberships are for personal, individual use. Accounts may not be shared, used by an organization, or resold. Team, classroom, organizational and integration licensing is available only by separate written agreement — contact us.

5. Copyright, Outputs, and Reporting

You retain any rights you may have in your original inputs and contributions. Simon Watson retains all rights in the Service and its underlying materials.

We do not warrant that AI-assisted Outputs are unique, copyrightable, non-infringing, or capable of exclusive ownership. You may not sell, license, publish, or distribute Outputs as prompt packs, template libraries, datasets, or generator tools.

Artist and band names cannot be used with the Service. Classical composers who died at least 71 years ago are permitted as a stylistic lens. You are solely responsible for any infringement arising from your later use of an Output — see Terms and Conditions, section 1.

If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, please notify us through the contact form and include:

  • a description of the work or right you believe is infringed;
  • a description of where the material appears on the Service;
  • your contact information;
  • a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized; and
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate.

We will review notices promptly and may remove or restrict access to material that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates this policy or applicable law.

6. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, filter, refuse, modify, remove, or restrict any input or Output, and to suspend or terminate accounts, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates this policy, our Terms and Conditions, or applicable law.

Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent account termination. We may also report illegal activity to appropriate authorities.

7. Accuracy and No Professional Advice

Outputs are generated by AI and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unsuitable suggestions, including in historical or musicological detail. They are not professional legal, financial, musical, or investment advice. Exercise your own judgment and, where appropriate, seek independent advice.

8. Reporting Violations

To report a violation of this policy, please use the contact form and include as much detail as possible. We will investigate and respond as appropriate.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised policy.
